Refund policy

Commission Bookings & Deposits

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your custom doll commission booking. This deposit covers materials purchased, preparation work, and time allocated to your project.
  • The remaining 50% balance must be paid before the doll is shipped.
  • Work on your commission will not begin until the deposit has been received.
  • After I have received your initial payment, I will send you a link to a bookings form where you can tell me exactly how you would like your doll.

Processing Times

  • Please allow approximately 4–8 weeks for completion, not including shipping time. Processing times may vary depending on workload, complexity of the customisation, material availability, and unforeseen delays.
  • You will receive updates and progress photos throughout the process.

Design Approval

  • Progress photos and final approval photos/videos will be sent before shipment to ensure you are happy with the completed doll.
  • Once final approval has been given and the doll has been shipped, refunds, redesigns, or changes based on aesthetic preferences cannot be accepted.
  • Please note that slight variations and handmade characteristics are part of the nature of custom art dolls and make each piece unique.

Cancellations

  • Due to the custom and handmade nature of Blythe doll commissions, cancellations or change-of-mind requests are not accepted once work has begun.
  • If cancellation is requested before work has started, only payments made beyond the non-refundable deposit may be eligible for refund.

Returns & Refunds

  • As each doll is custom made to the buyer’s specifications, returns and refunds are generally not accepted once the doll has been completed and shipped.

 

  • Refunds may only be considered in exceptional circumstances, such as:


confirmed loss in transit,
or significant damage during shipping.

  • Refunds will not be issued for:
    -Change of mind,
    -Minor handmade variations,
    -Delays caused by postal services or customs,
    -Aesthetic preferences after final approval has been given.

Shipping & Insurance

  • All orders are shipped using tracked and insured postage through Royal Mail or the relevant delivery partner.
  • Tracking information will be provided once your doll has been dispatched.
  • I am not responsible for delays caused by postal services, customs processing, weather conditions, or other circumstances outside of my control.

Lost Parcels

  • If a parcel is believed to be lost in transit, a claim must first be opened with the shipping provider.
  • Refunds or replacements for lost parcels will only be considered once the carrier officially confirms the parcel as lost.
  • Please note that international investigations and claims can take several weeks.

Damaged Parcels

  • All dolls are carefully packaged to help prevent damage during transit.
  • If your parcel arrives damaged, you must contact me within 48 hours of delivery and provide clear photographs of:

-The packaging

-The shipping label

-Damaged doll/items.

  • Depending on the situation, I may:

-Offer repair guidance,
-Provide replacement parts where possible,
-Arrange a partial refund
-Submit a compensation claim through the shipping provider.

  • In some cases, the item may need to be returned before a resolution can be offered.

Returned Parcels & Incorrect Addresses

  • Buyers are responsible for ensuring their shipping address is correct before placing an order.

If a parcel is returned due to:

-An incorrect address,
- Failure to pay customs/import charges
-Refusal of delivery,

  • The buyer will be responsible for any reshipping costs.
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Customs & Import Fees

  • International buyers are responsible for any customs fees, import duties, taxes, or additional charges required by their country.
  • These fees are not included in the item price or shipping cost.

Repairs

  • Blythe dolls are delicate handmade art pieces and should be handled with care.
  • Minor wear caused after delivery, accidental damage, or damage caused by improper handling is not eligible for refund.
  • Where possible, repair options may be offered at the buyer’s expense.

By Purchasing

By purchasing a custom Blythe doll commission, the buyer acknowledges that they have read and agreed to these policies and terms before placing their order.
